The road here

From the Inland Empire to Hollywood

By way of a District Attorney’s office, years of Santa Barbara commercials and short films, and a run of music videos that put Ozzy Osbourne in front of the camera.

  1. Before

    Ontario, Inland Empire

    From Ontario, in the Inland Empire. A job at the District Attorney’s office came before production did.

  2. 1999

    First credits

    Producer on the shorts The Uninvited, The Innocents Mission, A Chance Meeting and Serial, and unit production manager on A Chance Meeting, between 1999 and 2003.

  3. 2004

    Blue Chair Productions Inc.

    Founded in Santa Barbara, producing commercials with short films alongside: Ted Mills’ The Night of the Falcon and Revenge of the Falcon, which went on to play festivals at home and abroad.

  4. 2009

    Santa Barbara, on camera

    The Flute Player with D.A. Metrov, shot around Santa Barbara, Goleta and UCSB. Executive producer of the multimedia peace project I Wish Everyday Was Christmas, recorded at Santa Barbara Sound. Festival coverage at SBIFF 2009.

  5. 2014–18

    Inland Empire and beyond

    Producer, then director and editor, at the 48 Hour Film Project Inland Empire. Two spots for MUNDO, NBCUniversal’s Latino channel. Field producer on the California leg of VisionTV’s Longevity Road Trip.

  6. 2021

    Kontaxt

    Co-producer and location manager on the Facebook Watch action comedy starring King Bach: a pilot plus eight episodes. The following year Blue Chair Productions Inc. set up in Hollywood.

  7. 2023–24

    Six videos, two years

    Lynch Mob’s Time After Time and The Banishment’s Got What You Wanted, then Ministry’s B.D.E. and New Religion, and Billy Morrison’s Drowning and Crack Cocaine, the last with Ozzy Osbourne and Steve Stevens and now past 8.9 million views.
